If you asked around, I'm fairly certain most professionals in the design field would say that the color of the year should be MINT GREEN. Amber and Robby's Ocean City, MD wedding was marked by a mint green and white color scheme accented by pastel peach. It was every bit classic and romantic as it was beachy. Perfect for a summertime wedding in OCMD. Amber and Robby are truly one of the nicest couples I have ever met. For reals. And their parents, too. From my initial consultation with Amber, her mother & future mother-in-law, I knew that this wedding would be absolutely dreamy and filled with love. Amber has an understated style and a great sense of what she likes and doesn't like - and it showed throughout her and Robby's wedding day. She had everything planned out so perfectly and all of the details coordinated perfectly. The couple was wed at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in downtown Ocean City. St Mary's was founded in 1877 and is one of the prettiest churches in OC. I loved the stained glass windows and lead piped details. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // st. mary star of the sea wedding I decorated the wrought iron front gates at the entry of the church with moss-covered initials. Above the double doors a garland of thick ferns and baby's breath welcomed guests. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // st mary star of the sea church // moss initials little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // st mary star of the sea church The interior of the church was filled with intricately carved wooden antiques, large solid pews, and a huge white alter. On either side of the alter were two tin pales filled with baby's breath, pitt greens and curly walking stick branches covered in strands of pearls and rhinestones. The reserved pews up front had thick bows made of burlap, ivory tulle, mint ribbon, and silvery strands of satin wrapped around bunches of baby's breath. I know its hard to think of a bow as beautiful, but these were no regular pew bows - they were beautiful. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // st mary star of the sea church // alter flower arrangements of babys breath little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // st mary star of the sea church // alter flower arrangements of babys breath little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // st mary star of the sea church // moss covered initials The bride's bouquet was a mixture of green and white florals. White tulips - the bride's favorite flowers - are completely out of season right now but I pulled some strings and had 150 stems shipped in from California 3 days prior to the event and Amber excitedly freaked out as soon as she found out. It was a pretty awesome reaction and made me so happy to know that this bride appreciated my extra effort to make her wedding day everything she had imagines. White hydrangeas, peonies, tulips, queen anne's lace and baby's breath paired nicely with green hypercium berries, eucalyptus & a few different varieties of ferns. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // mint, white and green wedding flowers little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // white green bridal bouquet // vintage hankie bouquet little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // white green bridal bouquet // vintage hankie bouquet Pinned to the ivory stem wrap was something super special - a white embroidered hankie that belonged to Amber's grandmother who was unable to travel to their wedding in Ocean City. A few weeks in advance, Amber's mother had mailed the hankie to me and asked me to include it in her daughter's bouquet as a surprise. Amber's eyes filled with tears as soon as she saw this detail. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // white green bridal bouquet // vintage hankie bouquet The team of 5 bridesmaids carried full bouquets of baby's breath and greenery. The bouquets were wrapped in burlap ribbon. A strand of mint green ribbon hung down the stems. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // babys breath bouquets // burlap and mint little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // babys breath bouquets // burlap and mint The toss bouquet was a smaller version of the bride's bouquet. It was wrapped in burlap ribbon with ivory ribbon to exaggerate the bouquet's movement as it flew through the air at the reception. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // toss bouquet with burlap wrap Amber's hair was incredible. She wore a cascading waterfall braid pinned back with a clip of baby's breath and pearls. It matched her silver beaded bridal belt perfectly. little miss lovely // berlin md wedding florist // babys breath and pearl hair flowers Robby wore a white tulip and baby's breath boutonniere. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // tulip groom boutonniere Robby's groomsmen wore boutonnieres of baby's breath wrapped in twine. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // babys breath twine boutonniere little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // babys breath twine boutonnieres And so did the little ring bearers. One wore a small pinned baby's breath bout, the other wore a clipped boutonniere. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // babys breath twine ringbearer boutonnieres The mother of the bride and mother of the groom wore pearl wrist corsages. The corsages featured white tulips and freesia. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // tulip pearl wrist corsage little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // tulip pearl wrist corsages The fathers matched their mothers and had corsages of white freesia and baby's breath. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // freesia father boutonnieres with twine As a special gift, the bride have their photographer a wrist corsage, too. The bayside reception hall is one of the more popular wedding venues in Ocean City and I was super excited to decorate it. The space is aging a bit, but looks gorgeous when decorated... and with Amber and Robby's color scheme, decorating choices, and awesome planning it looked marvelous! little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // outdoor potted plants and decor Guests were welcomed to the reception with a few chalk board signs and a flower pot filled by Little Miss Lovely. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // outdoor potted plants and decor Twinkle lights, cafe lights, chinese lanterns, and tons of candles made the space feel magical. The white linens, chair covers & mint bows made the reception feel open and airy. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // the sunset room // mint and white wedding Amber and Robby created a seating chart revolving around numbered streets in Ocean City that held importance to them. The tables were marked by tiny chalk boards reading different street names. amber and robby seating chart little miss lovely // wedding florist in ocmd // amber and robby little miss lovely // wedding florist in ocmd // amber and robby amber and robby gift table // rose petals and beach decor little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // gift table flower arrangement // babys breath wooden crate The gift table, entry table, escort card table and one-of-a-kind 'game table' filled with madlibs and games featured fresh flower arrangements of different sizes. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // gift table flower arrangement // babys breath wooden crate little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // gift table flower arrangement amber and robby // ocean city beach wedding // meet the maids little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // the sunset room // mint and white wedding little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // mint and white peony and tulip wedding centerpieces The 12 tables had clusters of soft, romantic flower arrangements in hobnail jars, mason jars, bud vases, vintage bottles and white lanterns. Amber and Robby hung a vintagey gold picture frame from the porch overhang for their guests to use as a photo booth. A great was to encourage guests to take photos with the dreamy sunset! The gold frame was flanked by two hanging baskets with hanging ribbon tassels. I loved creating these potted arrangements knowing that the couple could hang them at their home afterwards. little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // hanging basket with wedding colors // the sunset room little miss lovely // ocean city md wedding florist // hanging basket with wedding colors // the sunset room ocean city md // the sunset room wedding reception Use #szymanski2014 to see photos of this amazing couple's special day on Instagram! amber and robby // ocean city md beach wedding Kirsten Smith Photography shared a few sneak peaks of A & R's wedding on Instagram...
