Shannon & Vic's wedding was an absolute dream! I can't tell you how great it feels to know that a couple trusts you to make the decisions when it comes to their wedding flowers and decorations.
I spent several winter nights snowed in and planning the arrangements and centerpieces for Shannon's wedding and would get super excited when she would email me back immediately telling me it sounded perfect. We bonded of BHLDN sample sales and bridesmaid dress styles. With a color scheme of corals, peaches, navy & gold... things just came together easily.
Shannon's bouquet was a beautiful blend of coral and peach flowers, orange pincushions from Hawaii, flat ferns, eucalyptus seeds, and baby's breath. Her bouquet was wrapped in dark coral satin ribbon, a strand of ivory silk, and topped off with a gold rhinestone band. I loved it, to say the least.
The eight bridesmaids carried bouquets of garden roses, roses, stock, baby's breath, ranunculus, and a blend of greenery. Their bouquets were tied in navy ribbon and finished with a gold rhinestone band.
The toss bouquet was a smaller version of the bride's bouquet. It featured more greenery and more ribbons so it would look stellar soaring through the air and into one lucky single lady's hands.
The groom wore a boutonniere made of a peach rose, dusty miller leaf, white lisanthis bud, and gold painted baby's breath. Vic's boutonniere was tied with dark coral ribbon to match his bride.
His eight groomsmen wore similar bouts wrapped in navy ribbon.
The couple's fathers wore boutonnieres wrapped in white cotton ribbon.
The mother's wrist corsages also featured white ribbon. Their mix of white lisianthis and ranunculus was accented with gorgeous rhinestone sprays.
The grandmother wrist corsages were similarly made.
The flower girls were all such princesses! They were spinning and twirling on the dance floor as my mother and I set up the reception centerpieces on Saturday afternoon. I caught a glimpse of them practicing their walk down the aisle before the ceremony wearing the cute flower crowns pictured below...
One flower girl carried a small ball of white mums (that were locally grown) while the other flower girls carried gold baskets filled with coral rose petals.
The ceremony took place underneath the Rehoboth Beach Country Club's outdoor pergola. The view of the bay was spectacular!
With 35 mph winds, setting up was quite a struggle, but (much thanks to my mother) we managed to create a setting that was perfectly romantic. I had planned this spectacular asymmetrical garland with ivory fabric and a floral spray, but we had to scrap it due to the crazy windiness along the bay... We used about 30 wire-ties to adhere a section of the garland to the pergola center and squished as many single stem roses into the ties as possible. On the raised platform golden urns filled with ferns were placed next to mason jars and vases on top of wood slices.
Clear mason jars filled with baby's breath and peach roses hung from gold shepherds hooks along the aisle. The variety of rose petals along the aisle looked gorgeous as they blew in the wind.
Inside the country club, the ballroom looked classic and summery. Tall cocktail tables featured flowered arrangements placed inside of spiraled conch shells and mixtures of mismatched antique bottles and gold-painted beer bottles and wine bottles looked great on other feature tables.
Each dinner table featured a slightly different centerpieces. All tables were united with golden seashells, rose petals & spanish moss (a little tribute to the bride's love for the state of Georgia). Succulents and moss were placed inside of brass candlestick holders. Antique books served as stands for pedestal arrangements. Gold glitter flooded in round fish bowls filled with flowers.
