b + m wedding

Brandi and Matt exchanged marriage vows on Saturday, April 11 at one of the prettiest locations that I have ever had the pleasure of dressing up in floral arrangements. Brandi and Matt transformed the White Barn in Prospect, PA into a colorful, bohemian/rustic wedding space. All of the details were breathtaking and everything turned out absolutely perfect! I have know Brandi for nearly 7 years and have been looking forward to her wedding day since the moment Matt proposed. Brandi openly gave me free range to do whatever my heart desired for their wedding flowers -- with two stipulations: keep things centered around a color scheme of pale pink, grey and gold and incorporate a rustic feel to match the barn setting. With that being said, I treated this wedding as if it were my own! Elizabeth Anne Studios captured some great photos of the couple and the event and I can't wait to see more! Follow her on Facebook to see a few more sneak peeks (and an awesome little video) like the photo below. It took me quite some time to perfect but turned out exactly how I had envisioned for this bride. It was playful, colorful, had pops of whimsy and the textures were mind blowing. The bouquet included pheasant feathers, a mini gold pineapple, succulents, a Hawaiian pincushion, gold thistle, huge peonies, black and white anemones, and more than 20 different types of blooms. It was tied with ivory crocheted trim and pink ribbon. A blue sparrow charm was pinned to the stem wrap and used as the bride's "something blue". little miss lovely floral design // colorful bohemian peony bride bouquet // ocean city maryland florist little miss lovely floral design // colorful bohemian peony bride bouquet // ocean city maryland florist little miss lovely floral design // colorful bohemian peony bride bouquet // ocean city maryland florist Brandi's bridesmaids carried simple bouquets of baby's breath. A single, dainty black and white anemone and greenery unified each bouquet and added extra interest. The bouquets were wrapped in pale pink ribbon to match the pink gowns. little miss lovely floral design // babys breath and anemone bouquet // white barn prospect pa wedding little miss lovely floral design // babys breath and anemone bouquet // white barn prospect pa wedding Even Brandi's toss bouquet was stunning and full of texture. I couldn't let her throw her own bouquet into the crowd of single ladies covering the dance floor and was so happy that I made her a toss bouquet so she could dry out her own bridal bouquet. little miss lovely floral design // colorful bohemian peony bride bouquet // ocean city maryland florist Matt's boutonniere was so neat. It featured a cream-colored ranunculus, a few plumes of thin eucalyptus, a few types of fern leaves, a sprig of curly willow, and a single pheasant feather. It was wrapped in ivory crocheted trim to match his bride's bouquet. little miss lovely floral design // ranunculus baby's breath boutonniere // rustic barn wedding flowers The groomsmen wore similar boutonnieres made of cream ranunculus, thistle, baby's breath and pheasant feathers. little miss lovely floral design // ranunculus baby's breath boutonniere // rustic barn wedding flowers // white barn wedding prospect pa little miss lovely floral design // ranunculus baby's breath boutonniere // rustic barn wedding flowers // white barn wedding prospect pa The fathers and grandfathers wore boutonnieres of single white roses paired with baby's breath and greenery. little miss lovely floral design // rustic white rose and baby's breath boutonnieres // ocean city maryland wedding florist The mothers and grandmothers wore wrist corsages made with ranunculus, stock, baby's breath and larkspur heads. Above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. Even though the set-up process of any wedding is always a rushed process - I still stopped a few times just to take in every little detail this venue had to offer. little miss lovely floral design and event decorating // ocean city maryland berlin md little miss lovely floral design // white barn wedding // prospect pa little miss lovely floral design // white barn wedding // prospect pa The ceremony backdrop may have been one of the loveliest parts of this wedding. Originally, the bride and groom had planned for the ceremony to take place outside, but due to chilly temperatures and some gusty wind, decided to move the ceremony inside. It was a good call and I'm sure their guests appreciated it. I sewed two curtain panels out of ivory linen and hung them from one of my backdrop stands. Thick ivory lace was draped over the left side of the stand and a garland was draped over the right side. A "curtain" of strung carnations in different shades of pink gracefully hung from behind the curtains. Large ferns were placed at the base and a few groupings of fern leaves were used as curtain tie-backs to unify the look. I had some help from Brandi's bridesmaids while stringing the carnation heads... thank you, girls! You saved me so much time! Mason jars filled with matching florals hung from the rows of chairs along the aisle. Groupings of mason jars filled with candles lined the walkway. little miss lovely floral design // ceremony backdrop // hanging carnations with curtains and baby's breath // white barn wedding little miss lovely floral design // ceremony backdrop // hanging carnations with curtains and baby's breath // white barn wedding little miss lovely floral design // ceremony backdrop // hanging carnations with curtains and baby's breath // white barn wedding little miss lovely floral design // ceremony backdrop // hanging carnations with curtains and baby's breath // white barn wedding Each and every centerpiece was unique and different. The garden-style arrangements fit the venue and theme of the wedding nicely. There were so many different elements (gold mercury glass candles, wood slices, rattan chargers, stained wood blocks, mason jars filled with candles, etc.) that made these centerpieces memorable. little miss lovely floral design // bright rustic colorful centerpieces // white barn wedding // barn wedding centerpieces little miss lovely floral design // bright rustic colorful centerpieces // white barn wedding // barn wedding centerpieces little miss lovely floral design // bright rustic colorful centerpieces // white barn wedding // barn wedding centerpieces little miss lovely floral design // bright rustic colorful centerpieces // white barn wedding // barn wedding centerpieces little miss lovely floral design // bright rustic colorful centerpieces // white barn wedding // barn wedding centerpieces little miss lovely floral design // bright rustic colorful centerpieces // white barn wedding // barn wedding centerpieces little miss lovely floral design // bright rustic colorful centerpieces // white barn wedding // barn wedding centerpieces Upstairs, the bride and her bridesmaids hung 5 empty picture frames to create a photo booth backdrop. Guests were to stand behind the frames and have their photos taken with a plethora of fun props. I attached small swags to each frame. The photos guests posted on Instagram while using the photo booth were the cutest! little miss lovely floral design // hanging frame with floral accents photo booth backdrop // Photo Booth with frames The entry table, place card table & gift table were marked with large, unruly flower arrangements in poured concrete containers. These containers were awesome and so heavy! I plan to use them at my own wedding in August! Accents of pheasant feathers, curly willow & baby's breath played into the whimsical feel of this barn wedding. little miss lovely floral design // white barn wedding prospect pa // gift table entry table arrangement little miss lovely floral design // white barn wedding prospect pa // gift table entry table arrangement The bride and groom collected antique and vintage bottles. A large beam behind the head table was lined with vintage bottles filled with single blooms of colorful flowers and greenery. A little floral 'still life' using a antique wooden crate and several bottles the couple had collected welcomed guests into the barn. little miss lovely floral design // wedding florist // barn wedding with vintage bottles The tall, 4 tier, naked wedding cake was a show stopper! The cake was lined with fresh strawberries, blue berries, raspberries, and black berries and dashed with powered sugar. A few loose floral heads were placed on each tier and a full, floral cake topper set off the top of the cake. The bride's toss bouquet called the cake table home and a metal orb filled with cascading florals set along side of the cake. little miss lovely floral design // ocean city maryland wedding florist // white barn wedding prospect pa // naked cake with fruit and flowers little miss lovely floral design // ocean city maryland wedding florist // white barn wedding prospect pa // naked cake with fruit and flowers Brandi & Matt, it was a pleasure to help bring your wedding visions to life. I had a fantastic time putting together you arrangements and am so thankful that you were thrilled with my concepts and ideas for your special day. Chaz and I had such a great time celebrating with you! Thank you for including us both in your wedding day. We love you so much and are so excited to see what the future has in store for you! We'll see you in a few weeks! XOXO- Ami p.s. Thank you to my better half, Chaz, for spending quality time with me during the 13 hour drive in my van, rushing around and helping me set up flowers, snapping nearly ALL of the phenomenal photos shared in this blog post, dealing with me bossing you around during installation, and loving me unconditionally... and for going swimming in the stinky hotel pool with me at 8 am. I love you, forever and always.
