s + l wedding

Every now and then, I have the pleasure of working with couples that just inspires me to set forth with a positive attitude, create the best work I possibly can, and strive to produce something a little different and a little out of the normal. That was the case when Stephanie had called the flower shop a few months ago to talk about her upcoming wedding. I could tell that she was open to suggestions regarding flower choices and was willing to trust my style and abilities. With that being said, Stephanie and Leigh's wedding flowers turned out so pretty! They were everything I had hoped I could create for this wonderful couple. Stephanie carried a garden-style bouquet filled with white blooms and various greenery. The shape was wild and bohemian-inspired. Parrot tulips, white lily of the valley, stephanotis, stock, and sweetheart roses made this beauty smell absolutely delightful. little miss lovely floral design // white and green bouquet // lily of the valley bouquet // ocean city md beach wedding little miss lovely floral design // white and green bouquet // lily of the valley bouquet // ocean city md beach wedding little miss lovely floral design // white and green bouquet // lily of the valley bouquet // ocean city md beach wedding Leigh's boutonniere was created using an ivory spray roses, a white ranunculus, lily of the valley, stephanotis, baby's breath and ferns. It matched Stephanie's bouquet perfectly. white ranunculus spray rose stephanotis boutonniere // little miss lovely floral design Stephanie also wore the sweetest little hair clips in her hair. She chose to wear a loose side braid that draped over her shoulder. These clips accented her hair, dress, and bouquet choices. little miss lovely floral design // hair flower clips comb // white ranunculus lily of the valley for in hair little miss lovely floral design // hair flower clips comb // white ranunculus lily of the valley for in hair The bridesmaids carried bouquets of white and coral blooms. These bouquets were crated in a more traditional floral style than that of the bride's bouquet. The contrast between the two bouquet styles added some texture and style to the bridal party. little miss lovely floral design // coral and white bouquet // beach weddinglittle miss lovely floral design // coral and white bouquet // beach wedding Leigh's father, her best man, wore a single coral rose boutonniere. coral rose boutonniere with baby's breath // little miss lovely floral designThe mothers carried miniature posies. Each was marked with stock, ivory roses, and stephanotis. One mother received a bouquet that included ferns and lily of the valley. The other mother's bouquet was marked with tulips and eucalyptus greens. white and green mother posies posy // little miss lovely floral design // small bouquet for mothers Stephanie's father wore a boutonniere similar to Leigh's. It included lily of the valley to match his wife's posy. little miss lovely floral design // spray rose ivory boutonniere The ceremony took place on the beach at 130th Street in Ocean City, Maryland. The weather was absolutely perfect for an early May day and the ceremony was so beautiful. Leigh is a pastor at several churches in New York City. It was fitting that the ceremony was one of many beautiful traditions. little miss lovely floral design // ocean city maryland md beach wedding The reception took place at Harrison's Harbor Watch Restaurant overlooking the Ocean City Inlet. The bar was marked with large arrangements overflowing with airy ferns and baby's breath. Cocktail tables had candle centerpieces surrounded by rose petals and single coral charm peony heads. little miss lovely floral design // harrison's harbor watch restaurant wedding reception The table centerpieces were arrangements of white hydrangea, coral charm peonies, baby's breath & ivory roses. I loved how it swept downward in front of the table. little miss lovely floral design // harrison's harbor watch restaurant wedding reception // white hydrangea coral charm peony centerpieces A floral cake topped was paired with an initial cake topper.
