Last month I made a bouquet for a mermaid. Christy is in love with mermaids - so in love that she told me that she wanted her bridal bouquet to look like something a mermaid would hold. She had sent me a photo to provide some inspiration when it came to colors. Her bouquet was pink, lavender, fuchsia, purple, teal, turquoise and white. The bride and groom kept their dress, decor, and linens in a color scheme of white, grey and silver. This made the brides bouquet really stand out. Chip and Christy's wedding took place at the Golden Sands in Ocean City, Maryland. This rooftop atrium overlooks uptown Ocean City. With the help of her bridesmaids, friends & family, the space was filled with beachy decorations, fresh baby's breath, and lots of love. Christy's bridesmaids carried full bouquets of baby's breath. Each bouquet had a little silver mermaid charm hanging from the stem wrap. Chip wore a boutonniere that matched his bride's bouquet. I loved the scabiosa pod accent mixed with the thin dusty miller leaf. Two of Christy's best friends, who were also her Maids of Honor, came in to LML help me create and transport the baby's breath centerpieces used at their reception. It was so nice having a few extra hands to help make Christy's vision come to life... and so fun having a few other gals at the flower shop to work next to. Congratulations, Christy & Chip!
