Assateague

No where is life richer than where the land and water meet... and there are ponies! Ponies make everything better. Don't you agree? I'm, without a doubt, spoiled to have such a beautiful beach only a few miles from my home. This is Assateague Island... my home away from home. I try to go to the island on a daily basis. I'm sure you can understand why after looking at these photos. When the ponies are this pretty, the water is dark blue, and the park rangers are incredibly friendly - Why would I not love Assateague? Has anyone, other than my neighbors...

Bouncy Balls

Isn't this the neatest thing you ever did see? This is what happens when you release thousands of bouncy balls on the streets of San Francisco. Sony Bravia released this commercial a few years ago. I never saw this until yesterday when Tiffany, from Drops of Jupiter, blogged about it. Check out the video:[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zOrV-5vh1A&w=640&h=390]Awesome! Facebook

I deleted my personal Facebook account 3 weeks ago. It was one of the most rewarding decisions I have made in a long time. Here’s some reasoning: I have much more spare time. If you’ve ever gotten sucked into the Facebook vortex of clicking through someone’s photos, reading endless event invitations, or tagging photos of your friends – you know what I’m talking about. I don’t have to worry about ‘friends of a friend of a friend’ posting weird stuff on my wall. I had enough ‘surprise’ comments or photo tags that I wasn’t expecting everyone on my friend list...

Campground Lane

I have this favorite spot. A spot were there is lots of wildlife (like the racoons whose tracks were left in the mud above) and it's quite and peaceful. It's a place where I take Sandi to run around off leash and splash around in dirty marsh water. My mother actually hates it when Sandi and I go here because we always come home covered in grey marsh muck (& it seems we always go there when she's visiting and she feels responsible for cleaning up after us. Oops.). In case you are unaware - grey marsh muck is impossible to get out of white...

Harrisburg Avenue

For the first time ever, I was rejected by an abandoned house. This house did not want me walking around inside of it. It wasn't ready for me. Rejection in its finest form.Last Friday afternoon I attempted to scope out this beauty:Beautiful? Don't you think? Too bad it was completely covered in poison ivy and brush. The picture above shows the driveway (& only entrance) to this home. This property sits really close to our mall in Lancaster, PA. It's located next to a giant Toys'R'Us and the only entrance is off of a 4 lane highway. Maybe the odds were...
